Our local cinema, the wonderful Crosby Plaza, is a true gem in Liverpool's heritage. This fabulous Art Deco Cinema was opened in 1939 but closed immediately due to the start of the Second World War. Remarkably, it survived the war and still boasts many of its original, gorgeous Art Deco features.
The cinema was under threat of closure and demolition in 1995. The community united to save it, and to this day it remains open, offering a unique cinema experience. All thanks to the hard work of local volunteers.
This is just one of my many Liverpool land mark themed paintings. Visit my gallery to see the whole collection. and discover how each piece beautfully complements the cities enduring spirit.
