This is the Sefton Park Bandstand in all its glory, this charming little octagonal bandstand is typically Victorian and sits on its own little island in the middle of the park. I love the oriental shape and look, back in 2008 it acquired a bright new colour scheme that looks great in contrast with the leafy surroundings. The bandstand is just a gem! You can hear music playing in your head as soon as you look at it and it is said to be the inspiration for the Beatles' song Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This is just one of my many Liverpool land mark themed paintings. Visit my gallery to see the whole collection. and discover how each piece beautfully complements their enduring spirit.
